I’m kind of upset that Im doing all these lesson plans and Im the only one using them on the grade level!!!! No one’s doing science! P.S. Science journals are cool to have.

The difficult thing I have found in teaching so far is having to squeeze in everything. I do not think that one subject is just as important as another, yet we are in the days of NCLB and CRCT. I am in charge of science for the grade level. As a result, my class is the only class that is ahead in science and doing science on the grade level. The major focus right now is the huge social studies unit and of course reading and math-no room for anything else. How can all subjects including science be explored everyday?

my kids and I have been learning about ecosystems. We created a worm terranium(spelling) and have been predicting and experimenting with this habitat. Its been pretty cool, because everyday at the start of class the question is…are we doing science today?
